Vattenfall’s offshore hotel heads to sea
The onshore construction of the accommodation platform to house the service teams for the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms has been completed and the six-storey structure has been shipped to its final location where it is being installed.
Here, Vattenfall will have one crew servicing both wind farms from the accommodation platform, letting the workers live close to work. Working 365 days a year in two-week shifts, they will look after operation and servicing of the wind farms’ 150 turbines.
The platform is expected to be fully connected and in operation in August.
